Hampshire rider Andy Dunne is toasting success after clinching the 1,300cc Streetstock Class title of the North Gloucester Road Racing Organisation.
Having finished runner-up in the 2005 series, the 35-year-old from Chandler's Ford went one better this year. Completing the series with a podium position in each of the 14 races saw him dubbed Mr Consistency'.
Dunne, using the experience gained from three years in the 600cc-novice class, finished 60 points clear of his nearest rival in a class of more than 30.
The Streetstock event was played out on famous tracks such as Brands Hatch, Donnington Park and Silverstone and all cycles entered in the class had to be unmodified street bikes, right down to their road-wearing tyres.
The North Gloucester Club is the only club in the South West involved in street racing of this sort, boasting more than 400 active members.
Dunne missed out by just seven points on the overall Streetstock title to a rider from the 700cc class.
His feat was even more impressive in that he competed without the financial backing of any team, instead relying on goodwill of family and friends.
