Artur Boruc has been taken to hospital for x-rays on his injured left hand.
The Saints keeper sustained the damage as he tried to prevent Chelsea’s equaliser at Stamford Bridge.
The Poland international was forced from the field immediately afterwards and, with Kelvin Davis out injured, was replaced by Paulo Gazzaniga.
Saints have a quick turnaround before their next game against Aston Villa at St Mary’s on Wednesday night and there must also be a doubt over Morgan Schneiderlin after the Frenchman limped off with what appeared to be a groin injury in the 3-1 defeat to the Blues.
“We do not know yet,” said Pochettino when asked about the extent of Boruc’s injury.
“He’s going to hospital to get some x-rays done and after that we will know exactly what he has done to his hand or wrist.”
