SAINTS' FA Cup third round opponents Torquay may only be able to name a 13-MAN squad for Saturday's tie at Plainmoor.

Remarkably, the crisis-hit Devonians could have only two subs on their bench - neither of whom is a goalkeeper.

Gulls boss Ludos Kubik's side are rock bottom of the Football League after failing to win for a club record equalling 17 matches.

During the last 15 of them they have only scored four goals!

For the last three League Two games they have been unable to name a full subs bench.

Last week goalkeeper Nathan Abbey walked out on the club after refusing to sign a new contract.

That meant 20-year-old Martin Horsell, the only other goalkeeper at the club in the absence of a reserve or youth team, was handed his professional debut against Macclesfield last Saturday.

Seven-goal top scorer Jamie Ward, who earlier this week handed in a transfer request, is suspended for Saints' visit after picking up five bookings.

And loan striker Jordan Robertson, 18, has returned to parent club Sheffield United, though Torquay were hopeful of re-signing him in time for Saturday's game.

And George Burley thinks he's got problems!

Robertson's two goals gave the Gulls a shock 2-1 second round replay win at League One strugglers Leyton Orient last month.

Apart from a 2-1 FA Cup first round win against Leatherhead at Plainmoor, that's Torquay's only success in any competition since September 23.

Torquay have been linked with a loan move for Cardiff striker Jamal Easter - brother of Wycombe's Jermaine - but as of this morning he has not been signed.
