Mauricio Pochettino has welcomed Saints chairman Ralph Krueger’s message that no key players need to be sold this summer.
With speculation continuing as to Pochettino’s own future, one major plus for the club is the assurance that Krueger has publically given.
Pochettino was happy to hear such strong words and feels it is vital for the club.
“It’s clear that for any team not just Southampton Football Club it’s very good that you get assurance for the future,” said the Saints boss.
“When you have in place a structure as we do at Southampton Football Club it’s important to get those assurances that we are going to keep important players and that’s always the case in any club.
“It’s important to keep on growing in the future and to look to the future in an optimistic way, to know that we are going to do well in the future as well, not just to keep your important players but also to add players that can provide a very good stability for the team. Of course it’s very good news.”
