BURNLEY boss Steve Cotterill has signed experienced Wigan keeper Mike Pollitt - and sold midfielder Micah Hyde to Peterborough.
Cotterill has landed the 34-year-old Pollitt on an initial one-month loan ahead of Saturday's trip to St Mary's. He is expected to replace Brian Jensen after the latter was at fault for two of Reading's goals in Tuesday's FA Cup loss at the Premiership club.
Hyde, who was out of contract in the summer, has been sold for £75,000, which could rise to £100,000 should ambitious League Two outfit Peterborough win promotion this season. Hyde has been a regular in the Clarets first team for most of this season.
Pollitt has found his way into the first team at Wigan barred by Chris Kirkland.
