Saints have rejected an offer from Hull for David Prutton.
George Burley confirmed that the Tigers' bid, believed to the region of £200,000-£250,000, has been turned down.
He said: "We had an offer from Hull a few days ago which we turned down.
"I spoke to David and he's committed to the club but naturally wants first team football.
"At the moment he's not a first team regular in the starting XI and it's a case of looking at it from there."
