TEENAGER Ralph Sweetman enjoyed the final hours of his half-term school holidays.

The 15-year-old endured a fish-less first night on his visit to Broadlands Lakes.

But the following morning he landed a 15lb common and a 15lb mirror before reeling in a mirror of 25.10lb.

All three were caught on a cell pop up, fished on a stiff hinged rig with cell scattered over the top.

“It was a lovely way to finish the school holidays,” he said.

Jordan Tucker’s first visit to Broadlands for an overnighter saw him land carp of 18.5lb and a 19lb from peg 33.

He used the Snatch alongside the creamy nut with a curved shank hook, rig tubing and lead clip.

John Payne had a great session with his best being a 26.10 Common, plus a Ghostie at 15lb, a 13lb and a 14lb mirror and another common of 13lb.

Luke Corsham landed a 16lb mirror, fishing from peg 61 using a basic comp rig and CC Moore equinox boilies fishing on the bottom scattered with 20 freebies.

Alfie Peacham fished peg 9 and topped his pb at 23.3lb.

Jordan Hillier-Snell fished at peg 24 and had a great session landing six carp to 19.8lb, four fish in the first four hours , Paul Remsbury fished at peg 25 and landed three commons to 19lb using the creamy nut .

Arron O’hara managed to land one carp at 16.8lb, also using the creamy nut.

Sam Moore and Joe Rose landed three carp between them to 19.3lb using the new stock Artic krill & crab.

There was lots of action on the lower lake including dad and son duo James and John Girard landing 16 carp to 9lb between them using the creamy nut, This week Broadlands Lakes took delivery of over 300 health checked carp to 8lb from Marwell Zoo.

The next Marwell netting by Sparsholt College will be in October.
