Some great bass continue to be taken from both boat and shore locations with Clive Anderson (Eastleigh) landing a 9lb 3oz specimen taken from Hill Head during a late night session.
He used a large squid bait fished at close range to tempt his new personal best, which was weighed and returned alive at the point of capture Another superb bass of almost 12lb was caught by 11-year-old Jake Newton aboard the Poole-based boat ‘Silver Spray11’, skippered by Andy Cummings.
Newton used a large mackerel bait to tempt the predator at just a tad under 12lb.
