FORMER Saints defender Richard Dryden has been sacked by Tamworth FC.
Dryden was the Conference National club's assistant manager while first team boss Mark Cooper has also been dismissed.
The decision was reached by mutual consent following a meeting this morning between the pair and Tamworth chairman Bob Andrews.
Cooper, son of Saints' European scout Terry, and Dryden have overseen a dismal season which leaves the Midlanders rock bottom of their league.
Dryden played under Cooper senior at Exeter and Birmingham and was on the Dell coaching staff when Graeme Souness signed him in the summer of 1996.
