FORMER Saints goalkeeper Alan Blayney has had his contract cancelled at Doncaster by mutual consent.
The Northern Ireland international left St Mary's for the Yorkshire club a year ago for £50,000.
The 25-year-old hit the headlines towards the end of the 2003/04 campaign when he won Sky TV's Save of the Season on his debut against Newcastle.
Blayney scooped the award for a remarkable save from Alan Shearer's header in the 3-3 draw at St Mary's in May.
His last appearance for Saints came in the nightmare 5-2 Carling Cup loss at lower division Watford in November 2004 - which was just a few days after he conceded a soft goal in Saints' 2-2 home Premiership draw with West Brom.
He made 24 league appearances for Doncaster, the last back in September 2006.
