Romsey will be anxious to halt a two-match losing start to the campaign when they visit the Bank of England in an early season Hampshire/Surrey Regional Division 2 basement battle at Roehampton on Saturday.
Beaten 4-0 in their opener at Sunbury & Walton Heath, Romsey produced a weak second half performance against Camberley & Farnborough and lost 4-2.
Camberley took the lead, but Romsey equalised when Chris Mason's attempt at goal fell for Tom McCarthy six metres out and he smashed a low reverse shot into the corner.
Romsey then grabbed the initiative - McCarthy making a surging dribble down the left and along the baseline before picking out hot shot Lewis Birch, who reverse flicked the ball inside the near post.
Romsey changed round 2-1 up, but after the break failed to find any rhythm as their passing became increasingly sloppy, and Camberley soon equalised after cheaply winning back possession in the midfield.
Two Camberley goals later, Romsey had tossed away their advantage and were left to reflect on a second consecutive defeat.
Sam Butterfield celebrated the birth of a son with a hat-trick which carried newly promoted Wimborne Wayfarers to a 6-2 win over the Bank of England.
Short corner specialist Todd Clarke added a brace to the four goals he scored in the opening day 4-3 win over London Academicals, while Connor Moors got the sixth.
Salisbury, relegated from Regional 2 last term, won 4-2 at Weymouth, where Rory McTaggart notched a hat-trick.
