David Walker celebrates his 73rd birthday today.
The tough-tackling Walker was a mainstay of the Saints side in the late 1960s.
Signed from Burnley in 1965, he made 231 appearances and scored just one goal.
His marauding style, taking out everything in front of the centre backs, earned him the nickname ‘Docker’.
He left Saints in 1974, briefly playing in South Africa, before retuning to Hampshire to run first an antiques business and then a B&B.
