Annabel Field is proving a second half lucky charm for Trojans women.
For the second consecutive week she popped up with the winning goal as Trojans beat Gloucester City 3-2 to extend their Investec Western Conference unbeaten run to five matches.
Having got the all-important solitary goal at Isca a week earlier, Field struck eight minutes from the end at Stoneham Lane to send fourth-placed Gloucester home pointless.
Trojans made the first half running and were ahead in eight minutes when Sally Gibson got down the right-hand bye-line and scored with an acute angled shot.
Sarah Jennings soon levelled from a penalty corner, but when a goal-bound Trojans shot struck a Gloucester foot on the line, Zoe Gittens restored a half-time lead from the penalty mark.
Field came within inches of wrapping it up for Trojans when her shot from a penalty corner rattled the Gloucester bar.
When Zoe Burford equalised on the hour mark, it appeared as though Trojans might be denied, but Field battled through a ruck of players to force the Stoneham winner with eight minutes left.
The victory left Trojans in third place behind Slough – who beat Oxford Hawks 2-0, with former Trojans striker Amy Sheehan on target – with Swansea City second.
Another former Trojans player, Lizzie Gittens, scored twice as Bristol Firebrands won 5-0 at Cheltenham.
