Mane wheels away to celebrate the eighth goal against Sunderland
Sadio Mane has lost his goal against Sunderland after the Premier League deemed it an own goal.
The Senegal striker thought he had struck the eighth and final goal in the 8-0 victory over Sunderland but the Premier League have instead credited to Patrick van Aanholt, meaning there were a hat-trick of own goals in the game.
In a Tweet the Premier League confirmed: “@SouthamptonFC’s 8th goal v @SunderlandAFC has gone down as a Patrick van Aanholt own goal after originally being credited to Sadio Mane.”
