Sunderland’s own goal hat-trick may seem like a rare feat – but they have amazingly done it before.
After Sadio Mane’s strike was deemed an own goal, it means the Black Cats officially scored three goals for Saints in the 8-0 game last weekend.
Incredibly though, it wasn’t the first time they had scored three own goals in a game.
They previously achieved the milestone back in 2003 when Stephen Wright put into his own end before Michael Proctor did the same again – twice.
All three goals were scored in the space of just eight minutes as Sunderland lost 3-1 to Charlton.
