Young Spitfires bow out with heads held high
EASTLEIGH'S best ever run in the FA Youth Cup is over.
Lee Peacock's Spitfires Academy side reached the first round proper for the first time in club history last month with a 3-2 victory over Ascot United.
That earned them an away tie at Gillingham where, after giving as good as they got in the first 45 minutes last night, they succumbed to a 4-1 defeat at the MEMS Priestfield Stadium - Tony Lee the Eastleigh scorer.
