And that is exactly what Dave Jones did for Kings Arms when he hit the highest possible check-out – a 170 game shot.
But that was not the end it for Jones, who followed it up with a 131 three-darter in his side’s 6-3 win over Shield & Dagger.
And all the top finishes came from Kings Arms A – Donald Chapman hit a 114 game shot and teammate Colin Philpott a 106.
Lyndhurst Workmen’s Club League: Calmore Sports lead the way in Division 1 after five matches with Minstead Club and Redlyunch Club also on eight points.
Exbury B are still unbeaten in Division 2 and top of the table.
Best recent finishes came from Ady Noble, who checked out on 161 for Forest Inn and Stuart Court, who hit a 106 game shot for Exbury A.
Itchen & District League: Vine beat Bitterne RBL 5-4 to become the only undefeated side in the league – they are top of the table with a game in hand.
West End Brewery inflicted Hare & Hounds’ second whitewash, beating them 9-0.
Top outshot of the week was 126 from Hinkler’s Gene Bagley. Liam White hit a 120 game shot and 15-darter for Peartree in their 6-3 win over Hinkler.
Vine player Steve Musson checked out on 106 and produced a 15-darter in the 5-4 win over BRBL.
Totton & District League: Second-placed Peg & Parrot chalked up a 5-4 win over The Keys as they chase leaders Salmon Leap A who whitewashed Elephant B 7-0.
Pete Jewer’s 114 finish for Gamekeeper was the best of the week followed by Peter Larby’s 102 for Calmore CC.
Hythe & District League: Two ton-plus check-outs this week – both from Division 2. Michael Church hit a 150 for Forest Home and Barry Ronald checked out on 146 for Falcon.
Former BDO and PDC World Champion Dennis ‘The Menace’ Priestley will be facing locals at Millbrook’s The Saints pub soon.
