TIMSBURY Manor Fishery produced some outstanding sport for the latest Cormorants Club Match, with some massive weights of carp.
Reelcare's Neil Tappin took a massive 119lb of carp to 5lb on the pole, corn and maggot to get the better of Jim Murray, who took 107lb 4oz of carp to 5lb on the waggler and corn.
Richie Yeo (Cormorants Team Sillybait) finished third with 93lb of carp on the pole and corn, with Poingdestres' Pete Newman fourth with 89lb 12oz.
The Bournemouth Lodge Open on Mike Smith's Hordle Lakes also saw some unbelievable returns with Nathan Fox (Bournemouth Lodge) taking a massive 88lb 7oz of carp to double figures on the long pole and corn from Tench Lake to get the better of Eastleigh Mosella's Dave Self, who took 35lb of silver fish plus carp for a total of 86lb 1oz on pole, corn and maggot also from Tench Lake.
Jem Turner (Dorset Raiders) finished third with 75lb 10oz of carp on the pole and corn from Canal lake, with Julian Taylor (Bournemouth Lodge) fourth with 73lb 11oz of carp from Long Lake.
l The Shergold Carp Centre Invitation Open on Greenridge Farm's Main Lake saw victory go to Shergolds Carp Centre's Kev Downer, who took 43lb 4oz of carp to 9lb on maggot and pole fished to the island.
Terry Hiscock (Davis Tackle) finished second with 40lb 9oz of carp to 12lb on corn to the island, while Kings Toyota's Gary Naylor finished third with 38lb 9oz.
l The Greenridge Farm Open saw Haydon Meyers draw the golden peg worth £786 but finish well off the pace with 21lb so the jackpot is certain to go over £800 in the next match.
Mark Brown (Greenridge) won his third match in a row from unfancied peg 10 on Canal 1 with 55lb 4oz of carp to 6lb on the pole and corn down the middle.
Paul Barnard (Salisbury) finished second with 50lb 14oz of carp to 6lb on maggot and pole to the far bank from peg 16 on Canal 2, with Kendall Barry third with 45lb 2oz of carp from peg 15 on Canal 2.
