YET another former Eastleigh player has pitched up at National League South outfit Sutton United.
Us’ boss Paul Doswell’s final summer signing is right-back Dan Spence, one of seven players released by the Spitfires at the end of their debut Conference Premier season.
The 25-year-old follows two others from that list, Craig McAllister and Dean Beckwith – plus Stuart Fleetwood - into Gander Green Lane where the likes of Glen Southam and Jamie Collins are already part of the ex-Eastleigh brotherhood.
Doswell, himself a former Spitfire, said: “Dan enjoyed an outstanding season playing in the Conference last year and was hoping to play at the same level or higher.
“We watched him many times last year and made him aware of our interest after his release.
“Dan rightly wanted to see what his options were but, having seen Craig and Stuart sign recently, he’s now happy to a sign a two-year deal.
“He shares the vision we all have at the club and we are really pleased to have signed him.”
