ACTING Saints chairman Leon Crouch has described the potential takeover by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen as "fantastic news".
Crouch, pictured left, the club's second largest shareholder, told the Daily Echo last night that he could "see no reason" why billionaire Allen's initial approach would not be fully followed through.
"It's a boost for everyone," said Crouch, speaking after a Saints PLC board meeting held in London. I have always said this is a club with great potential.
"There should be no reason why we could not be a top ten Premiership club.

"It's fantastic news for all our loyal supporters and all our wonderful staff at the stadium.
"It's a great boost ahead of an important game at Norwich."
Crouch added: "I would be happy to stand aside for someone if it was in the best interests of the club.
"It's great that someone is interested who could put this great club back on a sound financial footing.
"I see no reason why this (potential takeover) should not go through.
