SAINTS skipper Claus Lundekvam has revealed his Championship play-off heartbreak.
The luckless Norwegian central defender was stretchered off with an ankle injury against Southend last Sunday.
Although there is no break, scans have revealed he has badly damaged ligaments which will sideline him for the whole play-off campaign.
He said: "I am absolutely devastated. I saw the surgeon yesterday and he said it is pretty bad. I have damaged ligaments on both the inside and the outside of the ankle.
"He reckons I probably dislocated when it happened which makes sense because it is huge. It has swollen up big-time.
"It is worse than when I did the other ankle on the opening day of the season (at Derby) and if I am honest, I will be lucky to be ready for pre-season."
