GEORGE Burley today insists: We'll win promotion for Claus!
The Saints manager has revealed his captain's sickening injury blow has produced an extra determination to return to the Premiership.
Lundekvam started the season by being stretchered off in the first game - ironically, against Saints' play-off semi-final opponents Derby at Pride Park last August.
He was also stretchered off in the last league game of the regular season, last Sunday's 4-1 home win over Southend that clinched a top-six place for Burley and co.
Lundekvam's ankle injury is so serious it has already ruled him out of the play-off semi-final - and the £60m final at the new Wembley against Wolves or West Bromwich Albion on Monday, May 28.
"The boys are determined to get this club to the Premiership for Claus Lundekvam," stated Burley.
