DERBY County midfielder Stephen Pearson has suffered no reaction to his first start in ten weeks.
And that has thrust the ex-Celtic man into the frame for Saturday's play-off clash at St Mary's.
Pearson handed the Rams a boost by completing 90 minutes in Sunday's victory over Leeds United at Pride Park.
The Scottish international had been sidelined by a foot injury he picked up in the defeat at Sunderland on February 24.
He made a brief appearance as a substitute against Luton in April but still felt some pain in his foot.
"It's great to have Stephen back, we have missed him," said manager Billy Davies.
"He tired in the second half against Leeds, which we expected, but you could see his energy and running from midfield.
"Pearo will be a fantastic player for this club once we get him through a pre-season and get him fully fit.
"We will see the best of him next season."
Rams pair Morten Bisgaard and Paul Peschisolido, though, are touch and go to face Saints.
