MAYA Yoshida’s hot scoring form continued as he netted in Japan’s 3-0 win over Singapore in their 2018 World Cup and 2019 Asian Cup qualifier at the Singapore Sports Hub Stadium.
The centre-back netted the Blue Samurai’s third goal in the 87th minute to make it two goals in four games for club and country after he netted in the 2-1 Capital One Cup over Aston Villa at St Mary’s last month.
Mu Kanazaki gave Japan the lead on 20 minutes with Keisuke Honda doubling their advantage soon after.
Yoshida then hit home the third, helping his country to a comfortable victory and maintain their unbeaten run in the qualifiers.
