RONALD Koeman admitted that Saints need to be prepared to lose yet more players in this summer’s transfer window.

Koeman has had to recruit heavily over the two closed seasons he’s been at St Mary’s, but is hoping for a quieter one – although he says that Saints need to be ready in case of more departures.

“When we can keep all the players, we don’t need a lot of new players,” he said about the summer's transfer window. “Maybe one, maybe two.

“What we need to do is to be prepared if we lose one or two or three players.

“[If not] we don’t change a lot, no.”

One player that could depart is Spanish attacker Juanmi who has played a bit part since his arrival from Malaga on a four-year deal last June.

“Maybe, I don’t know that’s maybe a talk what we need to have at the end of the season,” Koeman added.

“Of course, it’s difficult for Juanmi to be part of or even start a game.

“Okay, it’s all about the competition in our squad but that’s the decision that we will make at the end of the season.”

Meanwhile, the boss was delighted with the new seven-year sponsorship deal with Under Armour.

“First of all it’s a very important deal for the club,” he said. “I think it shows that Southampton FC is growing as a club.

“It’s an important brand to have for a seven-year deal and it’s all about the ambition of the club, which direction the club likes to go.”
