Saints' game against Manchester City will still take place on Sunday, May 1, but with a 4.15pm kick-off time.

The match could have moved back to its original date on the previous day had the Champions League semi-final draw meant City were due to play their second leg against Real Madrid on the Tuesday night.

However, with City not in action until the following Wednesday, the clash with Saints remains on the Sunday to be broadcast live on Sky.

It could work in Saints' favour with City surely likely to target the Champions League above the Premier League with no chance of winning the title.

It will be a frustration to the organisers of the 1976 FA Cup reunion at The Mayflower whose show is on the same day, albeit with a late enough start time to allow fans to get from the ground to the theatre.
