SAINTS legends Matthew Le Tissier and Francis Benali have revealed that they’ve gone into business together as football agents.
The pair are good friends having played together at Saints, where they both became icons of the club after racking up more than 900 appearances in all competitions.
They have now set up new venture 73 Management together with the intention of – according to Le Tiss – providing "guidance and support on every aspect of a footballer’s career – on and off the field".
On the new company's website, Le Tiss states: "We’d like to be regarded as advisers, or mentors, but if we’re called agents, that’s fine. I’ve been called much worse!"
Benali added: "We’ve got a real passion for football and are keen to impart our experience and knowledge to help players make the right decisions for their careers.
"The game has changed massively since when Matt and I came through the professional system.
"There’s even more of a need now for good advice and mentoring – for young players especially but also senior players."
The company name comes from the shirt number of Benali and Le Tiss during their days playing at The Dell and St Mary’s.
