EASTLEIGH could find themselves up against familiar foe at Woking on Saturday.
The Cards have today announced the loan signing of striker Matt Tubbs from National League rivals Forest Green Rovers.
Former Salisbury, Crawley and AFC Bournemouth man Tubbs spent the second half of last season on loan with the Spitfires from Portsmouth, but scored just twice as the club failed to reach the play-offs.
Tubbs netted a penalty for Eastleigh against Chester and, as coincidence would have it, his only goal from open play came at Woking in a 2-1 defeat on the final day of the season.
He had his Portsmouth contract terminated after returning to Fratton Park in the summer and joined Forest Green on a one-year deal in July. The 32-year-old has scored two goals in nine appearances for the Gloucestershire outfit.
Tubbs is joining Woking in order to build up match sharpness.
The Cards sit 19th in the table and face six league matches in the month Tubbs will spend with them.
