TYLER Garratt has returned to Doncaster Rovers following a loan spell with National League outfit Eastleigh.
Garratt made 11 appearances for the Spitfires, having been signed by former manager Martin Allen in December, and scored his first senior goal in the 1-1 draw at Sutton United in January.
The 20-year-old, who joined Doncaster from Bolton Wanderers last summer, will be available for the run-in as table-topping Donny chase promotion from League Two.
Garratt is the second left-back to have parted company with the Spitfires since Richard Hill returned to the Silverlake as director of football/caretaker manager.
Sam Muggleton, another of Allen’s signings, has joined National League rivals York City on a deal until the end of the season.
Eastleigh’s first move after announcing Hill’s return was to bring back the long-serving Michael Green who had been allowed to leave two weeks previously by Allen.
Fans' favourite Green is first-choice left-back again and the club still have young pair Chinua Cole and Jack Masterton as back-up.
As Cole, another of Allen’s signings, is on contract at the Silverlake, it made financial sense for Garratt to return to Doncaster.
“We wouldn’t have had Tyler for next season and, if I’d played him, it would have been standing in the way of Chinua’s development,” Hill explained.
