Coventry have completed the signing of Leon Best.

The 20-year-old striker turned down a new contract at Saints and has moved to the Ricoh Arena in a three-year deal.

As Best is under 24 Saints will be owed a fee which will be set by a tribunal.

Best made 19 appearances for Saints after moving from Notts County in 2004 and was called upon at the end of last season to score three vital goals in the run-in to the season.

But his time at Saints ended badly when he scored an own goal and then missed a penalty in shootout of the play-off semi-final second leg against Derby.
