Claude Puel could get the sack as Saints boss today, according to reports.
A number of national newspapers are reporting that the Frenchman, who has only been at St Mary's for a year, is currently negotiating a pay-off for the two years still left on his contract.
However, these reports have not been confirmed and there was no sign of a decision being made imminently when the Daily Echo approached the club - The Daily Echo understands the position on his future remains unchanged.
Not as far as I'm aware. It remains a possibility as it has since end of season but nothing seemed imminent earlier today

Despite finishing 8th and reaching the EFL Cup final, Saints won just one of their final eight matches and did not score in any of their last five games at St Mary’s.
