SAINTS youngster Olufela Olomola admitted he's excited to see if he's ready for the "step up" as he secured a loan move to League Two side Yeovil Town until January.
The 19-year-old striker scored seven times in 16 appearances for Saints' Under-23s last season and struck twice in the Checkatrade Trophy.
He also made his first-team debut when he appeared as a substitute in the 1-0 League Cup win over Sunderland at St Mary's.
Having played his first senior game, Olomola is dreaming of more Saints action as he heads to Huish Park to continue his development.
"Seeing the first team play on a weekly basis was a great experience, some of the quality is unbelievable and I hope to one day be in that place," he said.
"You gain a lot because you see the ability you need but not just the ability, the work you need off the ball to get to that level as well."
He added: "I wanted to get a loan move sorted as soon as possible and I’m happy to be here now.
"This is my first time at first-team football, so I’m excited to see if I’m ready for the step up, but I have great confidence in my own ability and I believe I'll be able to do great things for this football club."
