SAINTS boss George Burley and coach Jason Dodd declared themselves more than happy with debutant Adam Hammill yesterday.
The 19-year-old Liverpool loanee impressed in his 45-minute work-out against the Conference South club, scoring his first goal for Saints and setting up another.
Burley said: "Adam is a boy with a lot of skill who likes to take people on.
"He got his goal today and showed he has got a lot of quality. He had a good first game for us.
"He likes to run at people and he linked well with Rudi Skacel.
"For a first game he can be pleased with himself.
"He will add something to us this season. It's always great to have somebody in your side who is comfortable at taking somebody on and he certainly does that".
Dodd added: "Adam did fantastic today.
"When he got on the ball today he was great.
"He had something different and if he continues that fantastic work he is going to be some addition to the squad".
