Saints manager George Burley will make a decision on whether to offer loan deals to his two trialists after the club's tour to Norway.

Three-times capped Hungarian international centre back Tamas Vasko made his first appearance in a Saints shirt, following his arrival on trial from Hungarian side Ujpest FC on Friday, as a second half sub at the Silverlake Stadium.

And former Pompey and Liverpool left-back Gregory Vignal joined Vasko in the back four during the second half when the 25 year-old made his first appearance since joining on trial from Lens on Monday.

If the pair impress Burley, both will be offered loan deals - filling defensive gaps in the Saints squad created by the departures of last season's player of the year Chris Baird, teenage left-back Gareth Bale and Martin Cranie.

Burley said: "We have got to decide on both of the triallists.

"With both of them we are looking at loans so we will look at it in the next week."

Vasko only arrived on Friday and Burley was pleased with what he saw from the big 23 year-old centre-half.

"Tamas arrived yesterday from Hungary but looked big, strong and good in the air and mobile and comfortable on the ball.

"I thought he did everything he had to do well."

Burley gave 45 minutes to each available outfield player while sub keeper Michael Poke played an hour after replacing Kelvin Davis in goal.

And Burley considered the game a useful run-out for all his players ahead of the trip to Norway.

"It was a good workout and the players looked really fit," he said.

"We looked lively and sharp, we could have had a number of other goals second half which didn't happen.

"It was a good game all round.

"The players need to play games before the season starts and we gave everybody 45 minutes for the build-up before we go away to Norway.

"I played a few youngsters and a couple for trialists and was pleased with the performance overall."

He added: "There was a terrific crowd for Eastleigh of just under 3,000. That made it a smashing day financially for them so it was a good day for both teams."

But on the downside, goalkeeper Davis and Spanish midfielder Inigo Idiakez picked up injuries that forced them out of the Norway tour.

Davis damaged shoulder ligaments in a first half collision with Eastleigh striker Andy Forbes.

Idiakez limped off early in the second half with a hamstring injury picked up while chasing a through-ball.

Davis, whose absence means Poke will be the only stopper on the Norway tour, will have an x-ray today to ensure he didn't suffer a break and an MRI scan to assess the extent of any ligament damage.

Burley added: "Apart from the injuries, it went well.

"Now we go to Norway for two games which will be a chance to get the players together and for them to bond."

Pele will rejoin the squad in Norway after being given time off following his summer appearances for the Cape Verde international side.

Keeper Bartosz Bialkowski and midfielder Jhon Viafara will start pre-season training after the Norway tour following their recent commitments for Poland and Columbia in the Under-20 World Cup and Copa America.
