Teenage Saints prospect Adam Lallana hopes he will get the chance to impress in the club's pre-season fixtures and become a permanent face in the first-team picture.
Lallana has already appeared in all three of Saints' friendlies so far - playing on the left, right and the centre of midfield.
That was after he began pre-season training at the start of this month with the first team squad, The England youth international is desperate to push on and break back into Saints' first team.
"When you have had a taste of first team football you want more," he said.
"It was quality making my debut last season. I would have liked to kick on a bit more but was not able to.
"I feel I learned a lot last season so I am looking to kick on."
