CLAUS Lundekvam insists he won't be taking any risks as he continues to progress along the injury comeback trail.
Saints' inspirational skipper stepped up his return to fitness from the ankle injury he suffered in the final league game of last season with a 45-minute run out in Saturday's 2-1 friendly win at AFC Bournemouth.
That followed the Norwegian's first run-out of pre-season three days earlier as a 70th minute substitue in the second and final game of Saints' tour to Lundekvam's homeland, a 4-1 defeat of Kvik Halden.
With Chris Baird and Martin Cranie - two who could fill in at centre back - sold this summer, Lundekvam is one of only three players in George Burley's squad who can play at the heart of defence.
