A HOST of former Saints are converging on Milton Keynes this coming Sunday to pay tribute to Alan Ball.

The likes of Matt Le Tissier, Peter Shilton, Graeme Le Saux, Jamie Redknapp, Dave Beasant and Bruce Grobbelaar are due to feature in the Alan Ball Memorial Cup: England v The World at Milton Keynes' new stadium:mk at 7pm.

Former Saints midfielder Peter Reid will be England manager for the unique event and oversee and England squad that also includes Le Tissier, Paul Merson, Les Ferdinand, Redknapp, Le Saux, Shilton, Paul Parker, Paul Walsh, Kevin Campbell, Steve Hodge and Beasant.

The squad will be boosted by Rugby World Champions Ben Cohen and Matt Dawson, former England Cricket Captain Alec Stewart, ex-Olympic sprinter Darren Campbell alongside singer David Gray, actors Danny Dyer, Rupert Graves, Leo Gregory, Stephen Graham, David Morrissey and John Simm, comedian Angus Deayton and Radio One's JK.

The World squad includes Italy's Toto Schillaci, Giuseppe Signori and Lorenzo Amoruso, Germany's Steffen Freund and Matthias Sammer, Sweden's Martin Dahlin and Pontus Kamark, Wales' Neville Southall and Republic of Ireland striker John Aldridge.

Other World players will include Kasabian frontman Serge Pizzorno, Olympic athletes Iwan Thomas, who lives in Southampton, and Jamie Baulch and former Scottish rugby winger Kenny Logan.

The Alan Ball Memorial Cup: England v The World will follow a 'Battle of the Soaps' in which Eastenders, Coronation Street, Emmerdale and a team of TV All Stars go head-to-head.

The Eastenders squad, skippered by Adam Woodyatt (Ian Beale) and Managed by Steve McFadden (Phil Mitchell), will include Perry Fenwick (Eastenders' Billy Mitchell), Rob Kazinsky (Sean Slater), James Alexandrou (Mark Fowler) Michael Grecco (Beppe di Marco), Nigel Harman (Dennis Rickman),Ricky Groves (Garry Hobbs), Charlie Clements (Bradley Binning), Mo George (Gus Smith), Jake Wood (Max Branning), Jamie Borthwick (Jay Brown), Stuart Laing (Rob Minter), Matt Di Angelo (Deano Wicks), Thomas Law (Peter Beale), Charlie Hawkins (Darren Miller), Joel Beckett (Jake Moon), and new character Stephen Lord who plays Jase Dyer.

The Coronation Street squad will include Richard Fleeshman (Craig Harris), Alan Halsall (Tyrone Dobbs), Sam Robertson (Adam Barlow), ex-Brentford professional Bradley Walsh, (Danny Baldwin), Thomas Craig (Tommy Harris), Michael Le Vell (Kevin Webster), Ryan Thomas (Jason Grimshaw) and Andy Whyment (Kirk Sutherland).

The Emmerdale squad will include Ben Freeman (Scott Windsor), Kelvin Fletcher (Andy Sugden), Glen Lamont (Richie Carter), Cleveland Campbell (Danny Daggert), Jeff Hordley (Cain Dingle), Luke Tittensor (Daz Eden) and James Hooton (Sam Dingle).

The TV All-Stars squad will include the likes of Ralph Little, Andy Scott Lee, Jeff Brazier, Syed Ahmed (The Apprentice), Anthony Hutton (Big Brother), Tommy Walsh (Ground Force) and David Jones (Sky Sports).

Eastenders v TV All-Stars will kick off at 3.30pm. Coronation Street v Emmerdale will kick off at 5pm.
