GRZEGORZ Rasiak took his pre-season goal tally to five at Exeter last night and revealed his new target for the forthcoming season.
Rasiak, who is still being linked with a £2m move to Sheffield Wednesday despite George Burley saying no bid has been received, was a second half sub at St James' Park last night and scored twice in the closing stages.
The Polish striker, who was Saints' top scorer last season with 21, mainly had to be content with a substitute's role in the closing weeks of 2006/07.
Youngster Leon Best jumped above him in the pecking order after returning from his loan spell with Yeovil.
But Rasiak is looking fitter and hungrier than before and is aiming to beat last season's total in the forthcoming camapign.
He said: "It's nice to score. I'm a striker so it's what I try to do.
"This pre-season I have mainly been playing for 45 minutes and scored five and created another five.
"I've had two and a half weeks training so I will need a few more weeks work and I'll be good for this season.
"I need that because I have to break my record.
"Last season I scored 21 so I would like to progress this season."
