SAINTS paid out only £31,405 in agents fees in the six months leading up to the end of June 2007.
That contrasts sharply with the huge £842,533 they had paid out between July 1 2006 and December 31 2006.
In all, Saints paid £873,938 to agents in the first year of the new board's reign - the second highest in the Championship behind Sunderland (£881,594).
Saints' total expenditure for the first six months of 2007 was made up of monies paid in registering four new contracts, updating six more, cancelling eight and bringing in three loans.
In the same period Colchester didn't pay out a single penny in agents fees.
