ALRESFORD darts ace Paul Gibbs could secure his place in the 2008 Lakeside World Championships tomorrow.
The 36-year-old bricklayer is aiming to secure another ten ranking points which will fulfill his dream of a return to famous Frimley Green.
Gibbs, along with Hampshire friends Paul Hogan and Roy Brown, will be taking part in the BDO's British Classic at Kettering.
"I have got 30 points already and reckon I need 40 to get in," said Gibbs who lost out to Mervyn King in his world championship debut in January.
Gibbs had hoped to secure his spot earlier this month in the Welsh Classic but his plans were thwarted by 13-year-old rising star Jake Jones - who could be the Welsh answer to prolific Dutch teenager Michael van Gerwen.
"He beat me 3-2, then knocked out Martin Atkins from Lancashire and beat someone before he played me, so he won three matches.
"He is good and was hitting 180s and 140s for fun in practice," added Gibbs.
