KELVIN Davis is a major doubt for the start of the season after dislocating his finger at Millwall last night.
The Saints keeper was making his comeback after three weeks out with a shoulder injury sustained in the first pre-season friendly at Eastleigh only July 14.
But his night ended painfully as he accidentally clashed with Millwall's Ben May and immediately left the pitch clutching his left hand.
He has been diagnosed with a dislocated finger and is now a major doubt for the first game of the season against Crystal Palace a week on Saturday.
