CLAUS Lundekvam has been ruled out for at least the first few games of the season - and it could be longer.
The Saints skipper has been struggling to participate in pre-season with complications from the ankle injury he sustained at the end of the last campaign.
Now boss George Burley fears the 34-year-old could need another operation - on top of having Darren Powell ruled out of the first three games of 2007/08 through suspension.
