CLUB managers have got enough pressure, as has been pointed out with the farcical situation at Spurs, writes Lawrie McMenemy in his Daily Echo column today.
After losing the first two games, a delegation from the boardroom apparently popped over to Sevilla to talk to Juande Ramos.
When observed, a spokesman, who happened to be a young lady in the media department back in London, said they were not on football business.
Then the chairman himself said the Sevilla manager had not been approached, which was topped a day later by the said manager saying he had been given a "dizzying" offer.
Really, you couldn't make it up.
The fact that Martin Jol's team won their third game 4-0 would give him some comfort, but there will surely be a bitter taste after the media reports.
The worst of all was the sacking of the Carlisle manager after one game!
