Saints manager George Burley has rubbished reports he is set to quit the club.
Reports in one national newspaper today said Burley was on the verge of leaving St Mary's after growing tired of internal politics splitting the club. The report also claimed Burley had even cleared his desk at the club's Marchwood training ground ahead of his departure. But Burley said there is no truth in the story and he has no plans to leave the club.He said: "The story is complete nonsense. I am very happy at the club. I am very surprised and upset by the article because my family and I are very settled at Southampton."I am very pleased with how the squad is progressing for the new campaign and very optimistic we can improve on last season when we missed out on the play-off final only on penalties."I am fully focused on the game at Watford a week on Sunday and looking forward to a good push for promotion."
