NINE-YEAR-OLD local snooker sensation Shane Castle challenged the World No 75 to a practice match - and took a frame off him!
Castle, from Marchwood, lost in the first round in the Coalville Under-21s tournament in Leicestershire.
At a loose end, he challenged the club professional to a practice match - and won the first frame!
Castle had lost 4-0 to David Stevenson (Sheffield) and 3-1 to Alex Anastasiou (Derby) on his debut at Willie Thorne's in Leicester, the home base of Ben Woollaston.
The world No 75, while practising on his personal match table, was asked if he would give the youngster a quick game.
Good sport Woollaston agreed but was left stunned as the youngster fired in a 45 break to take the first frame.
Coach Dave Mumford said: "Shane doesn't fear reputations.
"He just wants to prove to people how good he is".
