George Burley will continue to adopt an all-out attack policy - but concedes Saints MUST cut out the defensive mistakes.

Burley has been pleased with his side's recent form in front of goal, having seen them score eight times in the last three games.

But, at the same time, they have been made to pay for defensive errors on more than one occasion this season, most recently in Sunday's last-gasp 3-2 defeat at Watford.

And ahead of Colchester's visit to St Mary's tomorrow, Burley declared: "We won't change the way we play.

"We like to attack teams. But as Sunday shows, when you are in the lead, you can't make defensive errors, because you will get punished.

"We'll still be going out to try and score as many goals as possible against Colchester. We have got a few permutations up front and are looking lively going forward.

"We were disappointed not to come away with a result at Watford after being 2-1 up with ten minutes to go, but defensively we were poor for the second goal, so that's something we have got to eradicate.

"We've got to tighten up".

With that in mind, Burley is continuing in his search for a loan signing.

He added: "We're looking at it. We're trying to bring another defender in and have spoken to a few clubs. We're still working on a few things as, no doubt, it's an area we need to strengthen".
