GEORGE BURLEY branded Saints' injury time losing goal against Barnsley today as "unprofessional".
Burley was furious after his side battled back from two goals down to equalise at the start of six minutes of injury time against Barnsley at St Mary's.
At that stage everybody was optimistic Saints could go on and snatch the three points having had to work hard against a Barnsley side reduced to ten men with 20 minutes remaining.
But it was Barnsley who snatched a 3-2 victory with a goal almost directly from the kick off.
Burley said: "They scored with two very good free kicks, both top corner but conceding a goal after working so hard second half was unprofessional.
"They had ten men and were just looking to waste time after the equaliser and to concede is what we've done in the last three games.
"It was very poor and you've got to be unhappy.
"How can you legislate for a team scoring with ten men and end up losing it after we had the whole second half?
"It was very disappointing indeed."
