SAINTS have been linked with RP Leipzig captain Willi Orban.
The central defender was made captain by Ralph Hasenhuttl and the Daily Mail is reporting that the Saints boss is keen to bring him to St Mary’s.
German-born Orban, 26, won his first four caps for Hungary in 2018 and is versatile and comfortable enough on the ball to play as a defensive midfielder.
A former German U21 international, he was also eligible to play for Poland through his mother.
Before moving to Leipzig in 2015, a year before Hasenhuttl took over, he was at FC Kaiserslautern.
After a controversial move from his hometown club, he helped RB Leipzig finish as runners-up behind Bayern Munich in 2016/17, Hasenhuttl's first season in the Bundesliga, as they qualifyied for the Champions League for the first time.
He has made 97 appearances and scored eight goals for Leipzig, having scored seven goals in 68 outings for Kaiserslautern.
