Ryan Garner's return to the ring has been delayed by a month.

The Southampton super featherweight was due to be in action in Leicester on Saturday.

However, due to multiple injuries higher up the bill, promoter Frank Warren has taken the decision to postpone the show.

It has already been rescheduled for March 23, with Garner still expecting to face Brayan Mairena over eight rounds.

Garner is understandably keen to get back in the ring to get 2019 underway.

The 21-year-old is hoping for a big year in his career with the possibility of a first title fight if things go to plan.

Tickets already purchased for the event will still be valid.
