SAINTS manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has confirmed that Che Adams is going nowhere during the transfer window.
The Saints striker has been linked with a loan move to Championship leaders Leeds United.
But, as the Daily Echo reported earlier this week, Saints do not want to let Adams go elsewhere as Hasenhuttl only has Danny Ings, Shane Long and Michael Obafemi as his other options.
“I wouldn’t consider loaning him out, I need every player, especially in an attacking position as we don’t have many,” said Hasenhuttl.
“He’s not so happy in the moment because he didn’t play that often and hasn’t scored so far but we know what we have with him and we know that we need him.”
Adams, 23, has been restricted to eight Premier League starts since his summer move from Birmingham City.
But he had his best game for Saints in the 2-0 win at Chelsea on Boxing Day and is likely to be involved in the FA Cup tie against Huddersfield Town tomorrow.
